A jacquard is a pattern made by the knit itself rather than laid on top of it, and that difference decides how the shirt ages. A print sits on the surface and can crack or fade at the shoulders where the sun hits hardest. A knitted texture is the cloth, so it goes when the cloth goes and not before.
